Standardizing 100+ Microsoft Teams Rooms Across a Fortune 500 Corporate Headquarters

A Fortune 500 company partnered with American Sound to design and build the AV systems for its new six-floor corporate headquarters in the Phoenix area. The project included 100+ Microsoft Teams Rooms on Crestron Flex, giving more than 600 employees a consistent meeting experience throughout the building.

Our work didn’t stop when the project was complete. Today, we continue to provide Day 2 support at the headquarters and support the company’s locations across the country.

The Challenge

Installing one great meeting room isn’t hard. Installing over 100 of them and making the 100th room work exactly like the first is a different story.

The goal was simple: employees should be able to walk into any meeting room in the building and know exactly how to use it.

Whether it was a four-person huddle room, training space, or executive boardroom, the technology needed to feel familiar, connect directly to the client’s Microsoft 365 environment, and be reliable day after day.

The Solution

American Sound handled the project as a full design-build with our in-house team involved from the first drawings through final sign-off. No subcontractors and no handoffs between vendors.

All rooms were built around Crestron Flex and Microsoft Teams Rooms. Using the same platform and interface throughout the headquarters gave employees the same one-touch join experience from room to room.

From there, we designed each space around how it would actually be used. Displays, cameras, microphones, audio systems, and room scheduling technology were selected based on the size and function of each room.

Before handoff, our team programmed, commissioned, tested, and performed QA/QC on all rooms. Every room was tested and verified.

Spotlight Spaces

Beyond the standard meeting rooms, several spaces required more specialized AV:

• 6-Way Combine/Divide Training Room: A flexible training space that can operate as six individual rooms or combine into one large space, with the AV adapting to each configuration.
• Executive Boardroom: Dual side-by-side 130" video walls with Crestron 1 Beyond speaker tracking cameras that automatically follow the conversation.

·       Remote Security Operations Center: A custom 265" video wall provides a centralized view of security feeds across multiple locations, supporting real-time monitoring, situational awareness, and quick response to security events.

• Lobby Mosaic Video Walls: Four custom video panels installed side by side to create a large visual feature in the main lobby.
• Production-Ready Media Room: A dedicated space designed for the client’s in-house content creation and production needs.
• Sound Masking + Background Music: Installed throughout all six floors to provide speech privacy and consistent background audio across the facility.

The Results

More than 600 employees can now move between more than 100 meeting rooms across six floors without having to learn a different system every time. One platform, one interface, and one-touch join throughout the headquarters.

American Sound continues to provide Day 2 support for the headquarters and supports the enterprise nationwide.
